Fight for Fiestas Battle of the Bands


Ballrooms A&B

SUB Room 1064

The 12th Annual UNM Fight for Fiestas Applications are available in the Additional Information section below. Applications are due February 14th to SUB Room 1064. Each band must be comprised of at least one currently enrolled UNM student, some alumni exceptions. Each band will be allotted a maximum of 12 minutes to play, this does NOT include set-up or sound check time. That will be determined after all applications are turned in. There will be a mandatory meeting for the selected artists which is TBA in the SSE office in Room 1064 in the Student Union Building. At least one band member must attend.  Judging will be part audience vote and part staff choice.  *The winner* will have a spot at this year’s music and art festival, Fiestas– April 7th 2018.

Lobo Day - UNM's Birthday Celebration


Lower level

Lobo Day is UNM's annual birthday celebration (and Mardi Gras this year)!  Stop by the SUB Atrium on Wednesday, February 28th from 11:30 am - 1 pm to take part in the event.  The annual group picture will be at Noon and birthday will be served shortly after that.  This event is co-sponsored by UNM Communications and Marketing.
