El Centro de la Raza
The mission of El Centro is to assist students in reaching their academic goals.To accomplish this, El Centro advocates on behalf of the students, offers many culture-specific
programs, and educates the campus community on the diverse issues that affect Raza students attending or wishing to attend UNM.
LGBTQ Resource Center
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) Resource Center strives to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all members of the University of New Mexico community. As a safe zone environment, we stand up against homophobia and value the worth and dignity of all people. Through education, we aim to bring a heightened visibility to the LGBTQ community on campus and to issues that affect LGBTQ individuals. Through leadership development, we promote a more civically engaged campus community committed to equality and equal opportunity for all people.
Women's Resource Center
The Women’s Resource Center is a place of advocacy, support, and safety for all members of the greater University and New Mexico community. Through a feminist model of empowerment and educational, social, and cultural programming, we seek to promote women’s self-determination and political involvement; awareness and advancement of women’s rights to ensure equality in all spheres of life; redress of inequities based on gender, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, and economic class. The WRC also seeks to promote understanding and mutual respect among women and men to achieve individual and social change as well as to create a positive campus environment.
